Music Adapted and Arranged by Rob Bowman
Gilbert and Sullivan are turning in their groove is how critics hailed this sizzling and original
updating of
The Mikado, the most popular operetta of the Victorian Era. East meets
West head on in this hilarious and high-energy musical comedy filled with a fusion of blues, swing,
gospel and torch songs. It takes the best of the Gilbert and Sullivan and moves the location to a
swing-era hotspot where the Three Little Maids sing the night away, but reimagined as the Andrews
Sisters. The plot remains the same but the lyrics have been changed to reflect the times and the
music jazzed up to charm the audience in this zoot-suited symphony of fun that will tap dance
its way into your heart.
